Accommodation

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in for all accommodation on Friday night is whenever you arrive! Many guests arrive late at night and we can assure that a member of staff will be there at any time of the night to help you check-in to your room.

Check-out on Saturday is midday

Check-in on Saturday is from 4pm

Check-out on Sunday is 2pm for ALL accommodation.

If you haven't checked out before these times then you will be charged extra.

Tatami Rooms On-Site

Situated right next to the venue, these rooms sleep 5 people. They have an attached bathroom/ shower and AC. These rooms cost yen for the weekend. Due to demand for these rooms, we can only give them to guests who wish to stay two nights.

Tatami Rooms Off-Site

Situated on the other side of the bay at Kozomi(a 1 minute walk across the beach), there are two minshuku offering rooms for the event weekend. Both minshuku offer tatami-style rooms with bedding & AC. Toilets and showers are communal. Room sizes vary from 4 person rooms to 12 person rooms. These rooms cost yen per person All Weekend, yen per person Saturday Night- Only, or yen per person Friday Night-Only.

PLEASE NOTE: The two Off-Site Minshuku are run by VERY old people and they have granted us use of their accommodation on the grounds that guests make as little noise as possible when returning to their rooms late at night. Most of the villagers work in the rice-fields nearby and they wake up very early in the morning. Also, be very sure to WASH YOUR FEET before entering the minshuku. Water taps are positioned right outside the doorway. The only complaint we received last year from the owners was that there was sand EVERYWHERE and it took them ages to clean the rooms. The success of the San In Beach Party relies upon our guests being considerate to the locals. The San In Beach Party organisers reserve the right to evict any guest considered to be causing a disturbance within the village and the minshuku. Evictions have occured in the past, so please don't try to test us on this one! Yoroshiku!

Golf Course Hotel Rooms Off-Site

This year we have persuaded a nearby golf course to allow us use of lodge accommodation situated next to the golf course. The golf course is a 10 minute drive away from the venue. We are currently trying to negociate the use of a shuttle bus owned by the golf course to convey gets to and from the venue and are now awaiting their response. The lodges sleep 2, 4 or 6 people and have all facilities. These rooms cost yen per person on Saturday Night and yen per person on Friday Night.

Room Payment

Camping

There are toilets at the event and a few superbly handcrafted hose-showers to use (cold!). The charge for camping is yen per tent. Camp fees are payable on arrival at the Main Entry Point and you will given a receipt to clip to your tent. Make sure you display the receipt or else the landowner will be knocking you out of bed when he wakes at 5am! The charge covers the entire weekend and is not related to how many people you have in a single tent. There is no need to reserve camping space. Please do make sure that you leave your camping spot as you found it i.e. take your litter home or separate it & dispose of it correctly!

Food and Refreshments

A range of food stalls will be offering a variety of eats. We'll have the usual matsuri fayre, along with a range of more substantial dishes made by the locals of Tottori. The prices are low and are excellent value, so don't feel as though you'll be saving a packet by stocking up before you arrive!

The Legendary San In Beach Bar will be there to provide you with refreshments of the liquid variety all hours of the day & night. Prices are roughly 500 yen a drink.

When eating or drinking please dipose of your litter properly. The main litter collection station is situated to the side of the Beach Bar. SEPARATE YOUR LITTER and put it into the correct disposal area/bag.

Parking

Fill as many people as you can in your vehicle if you have to travel to the event by car.

If the venue car park is full then please park at our SECONDARY car park approximately 1km east of the venue on route 9. If you travel FROM Tottori City to the venue then you will pass this parking area soon after the Tottori Airport. The road running by the airport is a dual carriageway. When the road towards Kozomi turns into a single lane then the car park is approximately 500m further on to the right. A large San In Beach Party parking sign will indicate the entrance. A FREE REGULAR BUS SERVICE will carry guests to and from the venue.

Guests traveling FROM Kurayoshi/Yonago (west) along Route 9, must pass the Kozomi venue and drive for a further 1km. The car park is past a Family Mart (on the right) and the parking entrance is on the left. If you enter a dual carriageway road then you have gone too far.

PARKING AT THE ABOVE AUXILLARY CAR PARK IS FREE

DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR ALONG THE ROADSIDE OR AT AN UNAUTHORISED LOCATION. The police will not hesitate to tow away your vehicle.

ALL illegal substances are prohibited at the San In Beach Party. The police know of this event and they know that a thousand or so young people gather on a beach over the course of a weekend. If undercover police wish to catch people in possession of illegal substances then this is a fine opportunity to do so. You take a very high risk carrying anything you shouldn't into the venue or in your hotel room.
