Tatami Rooms On-Site
Situated right next to the venue, these rooms sleep 5 people. They have an attached bathroom/ shower and AC. These rooms cost 35000 yen for the weekend. Due to demand for these rooms, we can only give them to guests who wish to stay two nights.
Tatami Rooms Off-Site
Situated on the other side of the bay at Kozomi(a 1 minute walk across the beach), there is a minshuku offering rooms for the event weekend. The minshuku offers tatami-style rooms with bedding. Toilets and showers are communal. Room sizes vary from 4 person rooms to 12 person rooms. These rooms must be booked for groups intending to stay both Friday & Saturday night. The cost of the room depends upon the size of room you book. As an example, a four-person room would cost 24000 yen for 2 nights. Due to demand, guests wishing to stay 2 nights will be given priority over those who wish to stay only 1 night.
To book these rooms please contact saninbeachparty@gmail.com as soon as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: The Off-Site Minshuku is run by VERY old people and they have granted us use of their accommodation on the grounds that guests make as little noise as possible when returning to their rooms late at night. Most of the villagers work in the rice-fields nearby and they wake up very early in the morning. Also, be very sure to WASH YOUR FEET before entering the minshuku. Water taps are positioned right outside the doorway. The only complaint we received last year from the owners was that there was sand EVERYWHERE and it took them ages to clean the rooms. The success of the San In Beach Party relies upon our guests being considerate to the locals. The San In Beach Party organisers reserve the right to evict any guest considered to be causing a disturbance within the village and the minshuku. Evictions have occured in the past, so please don't try to test us on this one! Yoroshiku!
Room Payment
Please go the Tickets page for room payment information . After completing our ticket enquiry form will will notify you whether or not we can meet your accommodation requirements. Please visit the ticket page to find this enquiry form.
Camping
There are toilets at the event and a few superbly handcrafted hose-showers to use (cold!). The charge for camping is 1500 yen per tent. Camp fees are payable on arrival at the Main Entry Point and you will given a receipt to clip to your tent. Make sure you display the receipt or else the landowner will be knocking you out of bed when he wakes at 5am! The charge covers the entire weekend and is not related to how many people you have in a single tent. There is no need to reserve camping space. Please do make sure that you leave your camping spot as you found it i.e. whatever you brought into the venue, then take it back out with you. Garbage generated from the food stalls and beach bar can be disposed of at the garbage station near to the beach bar. Please separate it & dispose of it correctly!
A limited number of tents and various camping equipment can be hired from Kigouya.com on arrival. Anyone wishing to hire camping equipment should contact Lawrence at Kigouya.com. The San In Beach Party would like to thank Kigouya.com. for their support.
Food and Refreshments
A range of food stalls offer an excellent variety of nourishment. In past years guests have been delighted with the standard and price of food available. All stalls are run by local people, so rather than support a nationwide faceless supermarket or convenience store, support the people who help make this event a success - the locals!
The Legendary San In Beach Bar will be there to provide you with refreshments of the liquid variety all hours of the day & night. Once again, the supermarkets & convenience stores don't make this event happen, so choose to support our bar and the genki people that work behind it. As we have reduced the entry price by 50% this year, we will be operating a restriction on 'bring your own' drinks this year. Guests will be entitled to enter the venue with a reasonable amount of BYO beverages. By reasonable, we mean a 6 pack of beers, or a bottle of spirits/wine. Should a guest leave the venue during the event, then upon re-entry, guests will not be allowed to bring any BYO drinks into the venue. Our staff and security reserve the right to enforce this policy. We are sure that guests will appreciate that a total ban on BYO is not in operation and a mutual balance has been met. We do regret needing to bring such a policy into operation, but past year's have proven that without such measures a large number of guests have ignored the necessity to support our bar in order to make this event happen. Water will be sold for 100 yen and our bar menu is very reasonably priced.
When eating or drinking please dispose of your litter properly. The main litter collection station is situated to the side of the Beach Bar. SEPARATE YOUR LITTER and put it into the correct disposal area/bag.
